RSE’s Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) department do a variety of predominately site-based work, generally with teams of 2-3 tradespeople. Currently, the majority of work carried out is for Scottish Water, however opportunities with other clients are frequently being explored.
On previous projects there have been around 45 tradespeople consistently deployed to site, typically consisting of electricians, mechanical fitters and supervisors. The management team is made up of around 22 individuals including managers, engineers, planners, administrators and other specialist roles.
The E&M Department’s workload can be broken down into four core areas:
Planned Inspection and Maintenance (often referred to as Maintenance Scheduled Tasks or MSTs).
Reactive Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (this includes MST Follow-on Work, as well as breakdowns).
Electrical Inspection and Testing.
Small Value Capital Projects.
